AMAFA/HERITAGE KZN APPLICATIONS:
Please be advised that as of the 1 January 2013 all application data required on the application forms should be loaded on the SAHRIS online application system (go to sahra.org.za for more information). Hard copies must still be sent to the Amafa offices until the 31 March 2013. The loading of the data online will speed up the processing time. The reason for running the two systems together until the end of Amafa's financial year is a requirement of the auditors. It will also give the municipalities time to familiarise themselves with the system and revise their processes.
From the 1 April 2013 all applications must be made online. All drawings, photographs and other supplementary information must be uploaded on to the Sahris system. Receipts, responses and permits will also be issued online. The progress of applications can be viewed online and Amafa will no longer take telephonic enquiries in regard to the progress of the applications process.
Please use the interim period between January and March to learn the new system. It will give you time to resolve any problems you may encounter loading data or supplementary information before it becomes compulsory.
THE AMAFA APPLICATIONS OFFICE CLOSES AT 12:00 ON THE 14 DECEMBER 2012. Whilst permits can still be collected and applications can still be dropped off Khanyi Zondi and Ros Devereux will not be available and no processing will take place. Khanyi will be back in the office on the 7 January 2013 and Ros will return on the 14th January 2013.
APPLICATIONS RECEIVED UP UNTIL THE 11 JANUARY 2013 WILL BE PROCESSED WITHIN THE TWO WEEKS FOLLOWING THAT DATE.
WE TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WISH YOU WELL OVER THE FESTIVE SEASON AND A PROSPEROUS, HEALTHY, HAPPY YEAR AHEAD!!
